ELI CURTIS

This is a poster I designed for an event in Salt Lake City, Utah called Pumpkin Nights.

The principles I focused on the most in this design were alignment, contrast, and repetition. Everything is aligned with other aspects of the design and I tried to make sure everything was weighted properly. There is good color contrast and the typography displays the message in a visually appealing way.

I tried to emphasize the use of color to almost connect the dots in someone's brain with the carved pumpkin smile combined with the pumpkin themed colors of the different shades of orange.

The tools I used to design this were all in illustrator. Mostly the type tool, shape tool, and the pen tool. I also added some texture as well.
